# Site Rep Site Rep is a source-backed website assistant for small business sites that need a private front desk before a full support stack. Current public offer: - Source-backed answers for website visitors. - Follow-up capture when source content does not prove an answer. - Lead capture for questions needing human follow-up. - Private follow-up queue for missing or weak website content. - Public demo bot for Site Rep pricing, setup, source-backed answers, and unsupported-question handoff. - Buyer-intent guide at /ai-website-chatbot-for-small-business explains the small-business website assistant angle without helpdesk, CRM, compliance, conversion-lift, or automation overclaims. - Honest, dated comparison pages at /vs (hub), /vs/customgpt, /vs/chatbase, /vs/intercom-fin, /vs/tidio-lyro, /vs/webspeaker, and /vs/chatling state durable structural differences (live local checkout pricing, no-card free trial, source-backed handoff behavior, and public trust notes) with date-stamped competitor pricing and a candid "where they fit better" section; they are not parity claims. - Source import supports website crawl, sitemap discovery during crawl, manual text, supported files, FAQ exports, single URL import, exact URL-list import, public cloud-link import for readable public/published sources, and RSS/Atom feed import. - Workspace owners delete a visitor's lead, conversations, and related follow-up records themselves from the dashboard or owner API, with an audit entry that holds no visitor details. Live data and Site Rep's KV backups are scrubbed at once, and the result says so if a backup could not be checked; Cloudflare point-in-time recovery copies keep earlier states for up to 30 days. Copies already sent outside Site Rep, such as lead emails and webhooks, are not recalled. Whole-account deletion requests are still tracked for review. Site Rep does not claim compliance certification. - Public trust and data notes at /trust separate confirmed controls from larger compliance, retention, and integration requests that need written review. - Honesty page at /honesty explains the source-backed handoff behavior; /api/public/honesty-check runs the live should-answer/should-handoff evals against the demo bot's real sources and publishes the pass counts, reproducible in the public demo. - Docs Mode install guide at /docs/install gives host-specific recipes for Mintlify, Docusaurus, GitBook, static docs, Webflow, Framer, WordPress, and generic sites, and links to the no-card free-start signup and the customer sign-in so installers can get their bot ID, public widget key, and allowed-domain lock from the dashboard. Hosted GitBook is marked as not directly installable because it does not currently support arbitrary custom JavaScript; Site Rep can still ingest public GitBook docs as sources. Live read-only MCP surface for AI agents: - Site Rep runs a live, read-only MCP server at https://siterep.net/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP JSON-RPC, protocol version 2025-06-18). The unauthenticated GET discovery payload lists the server name, transport, auth requirements, and tools, so any agent can verify the surface before connecting. - Authenticated agents holding a Site Rep API key can call three account-owned read-only tools; all outputs omit private access material: - get_site_rep_agent_brief — the account-owned handoff brief: readiness, unresolved conversation work, lead follow-ups, source gaps, answer QA gaps, account tasks, and safe exports. - list_site_rep_pending_work — the account-owned customer work queues that still need team review, keeping conversation-linked customer work separated from account tasks. - get_site_rep_customer_receipt — the first-customer receipt with payment/free-start, source, cited-answer, widget-install, lead, and export evidence. - Auth is server-verified bearer: Authorization: Bearer with the read-only scopes bot:read, sources:read, conversations:read, leads:read. Customers create scoped API keys in the dashboard's API access card. - The endpoint is team-review-only: agents draft replies and source fixes for team review; the tools never send outbound messages, never write to a CRM or helpdesk, and never execute external systems. How the first setup works: - Add a customer website URL, approved source text, exact URL lists, public cloud links, public feed URLs, or supported source files. - Test pricing, setup, trust, and fit questions with cited answers. - Lock the allowed install domain and verify one real widget ping. - Review leads, unanswered questions, and source gaps in the private dashboard. Relationship to Tiny Studio: - Site Rep is the standalone product at siterep.net. - Tiny Studio can package Site Rep with site, source-backed reports, and weekly care work. What is included today: - Site Rep is a website chat, source-backed answer, lead capture, and private follow-up product. - Support-ticket automation, native CRM sync, private cloud folder sync, and compliance certification are not included in the current self-serve product. - The buyer-intent page explains a use case; it is not conversion proof or a parity claim. - Public cloud-link import works for readable public or published links. Private Google Drive, Notion, Dropbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, Confluence, GitBook, and Box folder sync are not included today. - Buyer-facing trust details live at /trust. - Machine-readable trust details remain available at /api/public/trust-status and /api/public/release-status for agents and monitoring. The release-status payload reports the actually deployed release (commit and deploy time), the current release marker and its date, and never implies launch readiness or general availability; the deep health endpoint enforces one readiness invariant so required storage components cannot report not-ready while the aggregate self-serve check reports green. Machine-readable MCP surface for agents: - A read-only MCP server is available at /api/mcp over Streamable HTTP JSON-RPC (MCP protocol version 2025-06-18) with bearer authentication using a Site Rep API key. A plain GET request returns the live discovery payload with the endpoint, transport, auth, and tool list; calling the tools requires the account's own API key. - It exposes three read-only tools: get_site_rep_agent_brief (the account-owned handoff brief with readiness, conversation-linked work, lead follow-ups, source gaps, answer QA gaps, account tasks, and safe exports), list_site_rep_pending_work (conversation-linked customer work queues that need team review), and get_site_rep_customer_receipt (first-customer receipt evidence with payment or free-start, source, cited-answer, widget-install, lead, and export evidence). - Required scopes are limited to reading the account's own bot, sources, conversations, and leads; the server never writes, never sends outbound email, never writes to CRM or helpdesk systems, and never executes external systems. Access still requires the account's own API key. Contact: - hello@siterep.net
